Would you believe it! FFS!

I guess a picture tells it all... and 2 pictures make it more believable...

Guess I will stay in today...

Talking of inside I have been remit in mentioning the superb job Wendy has done in the Dining area of the kitchen... Looks nice and fresh light and clean (which it is) ;)

The snow is gone but my back is aching

Wednesday saw torrential rain which washed the last of the snow away leaving it clear for us to start work again on the back area...

Thursday 18 February,we have now owned the house for 3 years and 2 days... And a patio begins to take shape.
Today we moved 3 Ton of hardcore to level of the area we are working on, in a couple of hours to discover that we needed some more, so using a trailer to fetch and carry 1/2 a tone at a time we shifted another 1 tone, This time the hard way as we had to wheelbarrow it up to the patio area unlike the previouse 8 ton which was lifted up by the delivery truck with its hydrolic arm. Jamey and I took it in turns to fill and push the barrow.

By the end of the day we had leveled and tampered the main area though still required a small amount of hardcore to finish off the last part. Which I would collect first thing in the morning...

Friday 19th Febrary - After I returned with a trailer load of hardcore, 10 bags of cement we were ready to crack on I got streight into moving and setting out the slabs, Jamie set up and started to make cement for Jimmy who had already started to lay the slabs out. We had not quite mananged to get the 1st patio down by the end of the day - though we only had 42 slabs to put down and 50% of those will require cutting - so decided to crack on again tomorrow morning and get the 1st one completed. (If it doesn't snow).
